• Still having doubts? Exposing the ADHD fraud is simple. Ask your child's doctor to show you a test to prove your child is mentally ill. You will never get one as not one single test exists! Is there not a test for diabetes? Is there not a test for cancer? There are tests for REAL illnesses. THE HISTORY & FACTS BEHIND THE INVENTION OF ADD/ADHD

The discovery that amphetamines could alter a child's behavior was made by accident in 1937.  A physician in a residential treatment center in  Rhode Island for children diagnosed with behavioral & neurological disorders observed the calming effect of stimulants when he gave amphetamines to a group of 30 children in order to treat headaches that resulted from spinal taps. The Benzedrine (amphetamine) did not help with the children's headaches but it did make the children less active & more compliant. He viewed this as spectacular. Since this discovery, psychiatrists & pharmaceutical companies sought to "invent" diseases for which to prescribe them.  The favored invented disease today is ADD/ADHD & the favored amphetamine is Ritalin.

In 1970, over 200,000 schoolchildren were already on stimulant medication.  Without a single test to confirm a  physical or chemical abnormality to make it a disease, the epidemic has grown to over 500,000 in 1985 & approximately 6 million today.

Experts try to validate the disease as real by proclaiming that brain scans have shown that children with ADHD have smaller frontal lobes by as much as 10% than those of a healthy child.  What the "experts" neglect to mention is that in virtually ALL ADHD studies, the children have been exposed to chronic use of stimulant drugs, mainly Ritalin. Therefore; the brain scan findings are deceptive. On the other hand, the experts WERE able to prove beyond a doubt that the chronic use of amphetamines (stimulant drugs) causes brain atrophy (shrinkage)! A once healthy brain prior to stimulants is now 10% smaller on average than those NOT taking the drugs.

Once diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, the children are no longer considered or treated as normal. Once the drugs start poisoning their bodies, they are no longer physically normal. Whenever anyone in the life of a child is lead to believe that he/she is "brain damaged" or "diseased", when they are in fact not...that child has been stigmatized & damaged....not only emotionally & socially, but legally as well.

My question is this....If there is not a single lab result, physical test, x-ray, biopsy, brain scan, blood test, ANYTHING that can show an abnormality...how can this child be labeled "mentally ill" & drugged when they are obviously completely normal??? If you are having doubts about anything that you are reading, exposing the fraud is simple. Ask your doctor or your child's doctor to show you the test results which prove you or your child are mentally ill.  You will not see a result as no such test exists. Be prepared to get the run around with explanations from your doctor as to why there is no test to validate the "disease". Think in the back of your mind as you are hearing a list of excuses, how much money that particular practice might be receiving from pharmaceutical companies in order to market & sell their drugs. Think how many private practices would go under without the funding from drug companies. Ask yourself this question...is helping to fund the drug industry worth the risk of the suffering your child will endure on these drugs, possibly leading to death?!  Do not give in & be persuaded by their lies & excuses! Stand up for your child & say no to drugging for treatment! Remember ADD/ADHD is NOT REAL or PROVEN....it is merely an invention by Corporate America to make millions!

THE MEANS OF DIAGNOSIS

The "experts" claim that the diagnosis of ADD/ADHD can be made reliably using well tested diagnostic "interview" methods. They will also go on to further ADMIT that there is no single test to validate ADD/ADHD. The diagnosis is based solely on an interview with the doctor asking a list of questions on your child's behavior. The child is "diagnosed" by the following list of diagnostic criteria.

Six or more of the following symptoms of "inattention" have persisted for at least 6 months:

• Often fails to give close attention to details or makes careless mistakes in schoolwork.
• Often has difficulty sustaining in tasks or play activity.
• Often does not seem to listen when spoken to directly.
• Often does not follow through on instructions & fails to finish schoolwork or chores.
• Often has difficulty organizing tasks & activities.
• Often avoids, dislikes, or is reluctant to engage in tasks that require sustained mental effort.
• Often looses things necessary for tasks. (toys, pencils, books, tools)
• Is often distracted by extraneous stimuli.
• Is often forgetful in daily activities.

Six or more of the following symptoms of "hyperactivity-impulsivity" have persisted for at least 6 months:

• Often fidgets with hands or feet & squirms in seat.
• Often leaves seat in classroom or in other situations in which remaining seated is "expected".
• Often runs about or climbs excessively in situations in which it is inappropriate.
• Often has difficulty playing or engaging in leisure activities quietly.
• Often talks excessively.
• Often blurts out answers before questions have been completed.
• Often has difficulty awaiting turn.
• Often interrupts or intrudes on others. (butts into conversations or games)

WHAT INFANT, PRESCHOOLER, ELEMENTARY SCHOOLER, & ADOLESCENT DOES NOT FALL INTO THESE CATEGORIES? THESE ARE NORMAL & I STRESS NORMAL, CHILDHOOD BEHAVIORS!

Yes, some children require more attention & discipline than others...but that doesn't make them mentally ill! It makes them more of a challenge. We ALL have different personalities. Some of us are more laid back while others are more high strung. The same applies for children. THIS IS NORMAL!

It would be a boring world if we all walked around like well behaved zombies all the time...acting alike....ALWAYS acting according to what society views as NORMAL! What is normal to one, might not be normal to another. Their "diagnostic criteria" is based on opinions of what some teachers,  parents, & doctors consider to be "ABNORMAL" behavior! Why? Because if a child fits into the categories listed above, they require more time & attention.

Many school systems in our nation are underfunded & understaffed. This leave less teachers, more students, & less time to properly discipline or give attention to those that do not always listen. When the child is drugged & in a zombie state, it makes the day go more smoothly. Keep in mind that the drugged child is so spaced out that he/she is not actually learning anything in school....but they are being well behaved & sitting nice & properly in their seat. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the purpose of school was to learn. Did you ever wonder why it is that some school districts have has much as 65% of their students on stimulant medications while other districts have as low as 3% - 0%? Could this possibly be related to financial incentives from pharmaceutical companies to poorer school districts? Interesting thought to ponder.

COMMON DRUGS USED TO TREAT ADD/ADHD & THEIR DANGEROUS SIDE EFFECTS.

RITALIN - the drug of choice by many doctors & psychiatrists. Generic name: Methylphenidate hydrochloride; other brand names: Concerta, Metadate, Methylin

Ritalin is classified as a Schedule II Narcotic - the same category as cocaine.

WARNINGS: Ritalin should not be used in children under 6 years of age since safety & efficacy in this age group have not been established. The safety long term use in children is not yet available. Suppression of growth has been reported in long term use in children. This drug can lead to addiction & future dependency on other drugs. This drug has lead to the death of many children.  It has been known to scar & thicken blood vessels leading to the heart forcing the heart to enlarge & work overtime & in time will lead to cardiac arrest. Between the years of 1990 & 2000 the FDA received 186 reports of death caused by Ritalin & all other forms of the drug through its MedWatch program. Voluntary systems such as this report no more than 1 - 10% of actual occurrences, so the death count is sure to be much, much higher.

If a child is on a schedule II narcotic drug or any other controlled stimulant by the age of 12, they are not ever eligible to enroll in the US Army.  Is this our governments way of admitting that stimulant use in children is dangerous, leads to future dependency, & drug induced psychosis?

ADVERSE REACTIONS: Nervousness & insomnia are the most common adverse reactions. Other reactions include hyper-sensitivity (including skin rash, urticaria, fever, arthralgia, exfoliative dermatitis, erythema multiforme with histopathological findings of necrotizing vasculitis, & thrombocytopenic purpura), aneroxia, nausea, dizziness, palpitations, headache, dyskinesia, drowsiness, blood pressure & pulse changes - both up & down, tachycardia, angina, cardiac arrhythmia, abdominal pain, weight loss during prolonged therapy. There have been reports of Tourette's syndrome. Toxic psychosis has been reported.  Although a definite casual relationship has not yet been established, the following have been reported in patients taking this drug:  leukopenia and/or anemia & a few instances of scalp hair loss.

Ritalin & the use of amphetamines may become chronically abusive & lead to marked tolerance & psychic dependence with varying degrees of abnormal behavior. Frank psychotic episodes can occur. Close supervision is required during drug withdrawal since severe depression & thoughts of suicide can occur.

OTHER COMMON DRUGS USED TO TREAT ADD/ADHD

Adderall     Dexedrine     Strattera     Cylert     Focalin XR

* Adderall & Strattera are both failed drugs that have been recycled back into the market for the sole purpose of profit. Adderall was once called Obertol. Obertol was prescribed mainly to women who wanted to loose weight. It was taken off the market in 1981 because so many women became addicted to it. Years later, Orbetrol was repackaged & given a new name....Adderall. Strattera is a failed ADULT anti-depressant & was put back on the market to push onto children. Again...for the sole purpose of profit. Strattera carries a black box warning, the highest & most dangerous warning category, for increased risk of suicide & the high number of suicides reported. 

WHAT DRUG MAKERS DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW:

Over the years, thousands of children have died suddenly as a direct result of using psychotropic drugs used to treat alleged childhood "diseases" like ADHD. SOME ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT SUGGESTIONS:

• Have your child tested for allergies & change their diet as needed.
• Have your child's eyes check for any abnormalities; Even with perfect eye sight, an abnormality of the eye could still exist.
• Take your child to a chiropractor; Chiropractic therapy directly effects the central nervous system & keeps it in balance!
• Experiment with natural vitamins & minerals & look for positive changes in your child; this would be a good way to see if your child is lacking on a certain vitamin which could effect his/her behavior!
• If your child is hyperactive, limit their sugar intake drastically!
• Try a different parenting approach; instead of bossing or attempting to control your child's behavior, work with it. Be more rewarding of good behavior & try to ignore his/her bad behavior. This is positive reinforcement. By not giving the child attention when they are bad, & giving them lots of hugs & kisses & praise when they are good can reprogram their behavior!
